1 tsp Corn flour

1 tsp Lemon zest

1 Whole Egg

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 cups of Milk

4 tsp Sugar

Instructions

To start making the Natillas de Leche Recipe, heat 1 cup of Milk with lemon zest, a cinnamon stick, and 2 tsp of sugar. Don’t boil them.

Once it’s hot, turn off the heat and put it somewhere else to cool down.

Separate the egg yolk from the white and put it in another bowl. Add the rest of the sugar to the yolk and whisk it well until it gets fluffy.

Mix well until there are no lumps, then add the last cup of Milk and 1 tsp of corn flour to the yolk mixture.

Take the cinnamon sticks out of the warm Milk and keep the Milk on low heat on the stove.

Now, Add the vanilla extract, then slowly add the Milk and corn flour mixture while whisking. Keep whisking until the mixture thickens.

Turn off the heat, pour the custard into ramekins, and put them in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.

Serve the Natillas de Leche Recipe with bread pudding, a Caramel Bread Pudding Recipe, or a warm Lemon Pound Cake for a comforting dessert to end your meal.
